The Badger Meter Model 345WT is a wireless transceiver. Connecting one to a Model 3700 and then deploying one or more in remote applications allows for a self-healing network to be created that provides additional connectivity for more sensors.
The Model 345WT offers reduced installation costs by removing the need for installing signal wires for each output device. The self-healing network demonstrates its signal strength and routing back to the Model 3700 so low signal paths can be seen and then corrected by adding additional transceivers.
The Model 345WT requires no configuration. It allows for two scaled pulse inputs as well as a modbus input for additional expansion. When a pulse device is connected to the 345WT it automatically routes the signal back to the 3700 where it is detected and data logging begins.
The use of the Model 345WT with the Model 3700 provides a powerful solution for installing flow meters and other devices where wiring is either inconvenient or costly. Industrial plants, college campuses, and commercial facilities are a good example of users that could benefit from the features of these products.
