ADE® – Encoding at the Speed of Light
Badger’s Absolute Digital Encoder (ADE®) is the newest member of Badger Meter’s family of encoder registers. The ADE is intended for utilities with existing investments in remote meter reading technologies using ASCII communications protocols. Designed with connectivity to leading AMR solutions, the ADE utilizes non-contact state-of-the-art Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology to provide a full six-digit reading, while at the same time eliminating friction and wear of traditional mechanical encoders.
- Available pre-wired to Badger-approved AMR solutions.
- Optional terminal-screw version for ease of indoor installations.
- Communicates using an industry standard ASCII communications protocol.
- No programming or setting adjustments during installation or wire repair.
- Compatibility with ORION®, ITRON®, and BadgerTouch®.

RTR® - State-of-the-Art in Digital Connectivity
The Badger® Recordall® Transmitter Register (RTR®) continues to lead the water industry in shipments and performance. The RTR is the main link for all of Badger’s meter reading technologies, as well as the Connectivity Solution of choice in hundreds of mixed-technology systems. Amazingly flexible, featuring a non-proprietary protocol and very low power requirements, RTRs provide years of reliable, accurate readings for a variety of applications - including pit and indoor systems.
