BADGER® ENCODER REGISTERS
The Main Link of the System
Badger Meter offers a family of encoder registers for use in various remote meter reading applications. These reliable and accurate encoders are the main link for all of Badger’s meter reading technologies, including handheld data collectors, touch read systems, radio frequency systems, low earth orbiting satellites, and fixed base networks. Badger’s family of encoders includes the Recordall® Transmitter Register (RTR®) and the Absolute Digital Encoder (ADE®). Both offer a variety of advantages:
- No moving electromechanical contacts to wear out, unlike mechanical encoders, adding to a long performance life.
- Rugged glass and metal construction sealed with a super tough adhesive that fiercely resists both moisture and tampering, far superior to ordinary gasketed seals. The units are built to withstand any environment, including flooded pits.
- End-user installation options including a technology connector for use with approved AMR solutions.
- Registration options in U.S. gallons, cubic feet, or cubic meters.
- Available for all Recordall® Disc, Turbo, Compound and Fire Series Meters in pit, remote and integral applications.
Multi-System Compatibility
Every Badger® Recordall meter can be equipped with an appropriate Badger encoder register for compatibility with Badger AMR solutions, including ORION®, ITRON®, GALAXY®, and BadgerTouch®. Also compatible with other approved technologies.
