Monitors 3050 Series Btu Monitor

3050Provides an accurate measurement of total thermal energy along with temperature and liquid flow in closed pipe systems. The Btu meter has all of the features and programming flexibility of the Model 3000 flow monitor with the added ability to accept temperature inputs from thermistors or rtds.

Model 3050
Energy Monitor

The Badger Meter 3050 Energy Monitor is an economical full featured compact unit designed for sub-metering applications.

The 3050 provides a display of Energy Rate, Energy total, or Flow Rate. The 3050 display can be configured by the user to display Energy Rate in kBtu/hr or kW; Energy total in Btu or kWh; and Flow Rate in gpm or liters/m.

The unit requires two 10 K ohm thermistors, or 100 ohm RTD's for temperature input. The flow sensor input can be any Impeller sensor or any other pulse or sine wave signal flow sensor.

The monitor meter has a NEMA 4X rated front panel and conforms to DIN Standard dimensions, 96 mm X 96 mm, for meter sizes and panel cutouts. A versions of the Series 3000 is also available in a NEMA 4 wall mount configuration.

Like all Badger Meter flow monitors, the Model 3000 may be field calibrated by the user. Impeller sensors are calibrated by entering "K" and offset numbers, while other pulse or frequency output sensors may only use a "K" factor. The Model 3000 accepts pulse, sine wave, and 4-20 mA analog input signal.

Programming is menu driven. All data is entered using the LCD/keypad interface. A password gate is included to prevent unauthorized access to system parameters. Programming flexibility is extended to units of measure.

The Model 3000 provides two pulse outputs to interface with external data collection devices that accept electronic pulses. The resolution of this signal may be programmed via the user interface.

All calibration information, units of measure and flow totals are stored in a non-volatile memory that does not require battery back-up for data retention.

Option:

• Analog and communication option card
 - 4-20 mA output
 - RS485 with Modbus and BACnet Protocols
 - USB interface for unit programming
