RFP Best Practices
Important Time Management Tips to Remember When Shaping an RFP Response
Tip #1: It is critical to have a solid (or as close to solid as you can get) strategy by reading the entire RFP prior to the kick off meeting. Changing strategies along the way leads to much confusion and sets the team back drastically.
Tip #2: ALL stakeholders’ time is valuable. Be courteous of due dates and make sure your assigned tasks are in on time. This keeps the response on schedule and avoids last minute disorder.
Tip #3: Plan early and give yourself enough time to gather quality information. A winning proposal consists of concise content that provides a clear solution to the customer.
Time really is of the essence when it comes to RFPs. If we make it a habit to follow these tips, our responses will be more consistent and efficient.
