Modular Automation Built for the Long Haul

Available in four models, the TACII 200 Series can be configured to meet a wide variety of monitoring, control and SCADA needs. Each system uses a passive backplane that expands up to 15 slots, allowing plug-and-play I/O module replacement without tools. Units are virtually maintenance-free and rated for extreme environments—including surge events and hurricane-force winds.

Whether operating on standard power or solar, these RTUs support radio, IP network and cellular communications. Optional integration with PLC logic and HMI Panel PCs supports complex automation and full system visibility.

Features

  • Scalable Architecture. A passive backplane design supports 2 to 15 plug-in I/O modules—enabling easy expansion, upgrades or replacements.

  • Flexible I/O and Built-In Control. A wide range of digital and analog signals are supported, with integrated automation capabilities—no PLC required, but easily added when needed.

  • Multiple Power and Communication Options. For installation versatility in on-grid or remote locations, AC or solar power options are available, with dual-mode SCADA communication via radio, IP network or cellular.

  • Touchscreen-Ready Interface. Seamless integration with Panel PC HMI interfaces provides real-time local control and full system visibility.

  • Engineered for Harsh Environments. Rugged, weather-rated enclosures with surge protection and hurricane-tested construction provide long-term reliability.

  • Lifecycle Compatibility. Devices are backward-compatible with legacy TAC II systems, enabling smooth upgrades without replacing existing infrastructure.

Market Applications

  • Collection System Monitoring

Collection system monitoring plays a vital role in the water cycle, overseeing the movement of wastewater from its source through collection networks for treatment and disposal. Extreme weather events, fats, oils, and grease (FOG) blockages, and increased inflow and infiltration (I&I) can result in sewer spills or overflow events—endangering our environment and communities, costing utilities millions in cleanup costs. By monitoring these systems in near real-time, utilities can promptly identify and address issues for efficient operation and prevent environmental contamination.
