Mass Flow Meters

Mass flow meters identify flow rate by directly measuring fluid mass over a wide range of temperatures with a high degree of accuracy. These meters are suitable for a variety of fluids, such as slurries and other viscous, nonconductive fluids because of their ability to derive the concentration and mass of fluids based on the density measurement.

Mass Flow Meters

High Performance Meter. Low Maintenance Operation.

Mass flow meters provide accurate measurements that are necessary to provide greater process throughput, quality, profitability and safety.

  • Impressive Measurement. Can simultaneously measure true mass flow and density readings. Also has the ability to measure fluids with two liquids or a liquid with suspended solids to derive the concentration and mass of each fluid.
  • Durable Design. Features an unobstructed, open-flow design that has no moving parts, resulting in low maintenance operation.
  • Suitable for Hazardous Locations. Built to measure a variety of viscous, nonconductive fluids, even within hazardous locations.

Measuring Principle
Measuring Principle

Mass flow meters, also known as internal flow meters, measure mass flow rate of fluids as they travel through a tube. The mass flow rate is the mass of the fluid traveling past a fixed point per unit time.

How It Measures
How It Measures

These meters measure mass flow and density through inertia. The unobstructed, open-flow meter identifies flow rate by directly measuring fluid mass over a wide range of temperatures with a high degree of accuracy. As fluid flows through the sensor tubes, forces induced by the mass flow cause the tubes to twist, which is proportional to the mass.
