MILWAUKEE, Wis., April 6, 2023 – Badger Meter will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of smart water solutions to address challenges facing today's water and wastewater utilities during Texas Water 2023 in Houston, Texas, April 11-14. The company will exhibit for the first time alongside Syrinix, ATi and s::can, now part of Badger Meter, at booth 1731.

Company experts will be on hand to discuss the full range of water quality, distribution and analytical monitoring capabilities, including:

  • E-Series® Ultrasonic meters for residential and light commercial smart water applications. The meters use solid-state technology in a compact, totally encapsulated, weatherproof and UV-resistant housing, and feature an easy-to-read, 9-digit LCD display.
  • BEACON® Software as a Service (SaaS) combines the intuitive power of the BEACON software suite with ORION® Cellular endpoints to provide utility management with greater visibility, control and optimized information.
  • pipe::scan modular sensor system for monitoring drinking water quality in pipes under pressure. It measures up to 10 parameters in one device: TOC, DOC, UV254, turbidity, color, chlorine, pH, redox, conductivity, temperature and pressure.
  • MetriNet offers continuous data collection from anywhere in a distribution network. Smart digital sensor technology is leveraged for proactive water quality management to provide insights where previously unattainable.
  • PIPEMINDER pressure monitors use high-frequency pressure monitoring and advanced pressure signature algorithms, enabling asset and operational optimization. Collected data is sent to RADAR, an intuitive platform used proactively to calm networks, reduce leakage, prevent breaks and ultimately extend asset life for potable distribution and wastewater collection networks. Customized alerts and insights empower customers with real-time asset monitoring to reduce water loss.

"Badger Meter has a fully comprehensive, robust and scalable smart water offering that delivers real-time data to customers. Our diverse combination of solutions include electrochemical sensors from ATi, optical water quality monitoring instruments from s::can and asset monitoring intelligence from Syrinix,” said Matt Stuyvenberg, Vice President of Software and Water Quality at Badger Meter.

Syrinix Presents with the City of Galveston
On Friday, April 14, at 10:55 a.m., attendees will have an opportunity to hear firsthand how smart water technologies have helped the City of Galveston, Texas, optimize its water distribution network. Trino Pedraza, Director of Public Works and Municipal Utilities for the City of Galveston, and Nicole Kaiser, Vice President of Business Development for the Americas at Syrinix, will present “Technology in Practice: How the City of Galveston Used Pressure Monitoring to Increase Visibility and Make Operational Changes in Their Water Network.”

This session will highlight how Galveston used Syrinix PIPEMINDER-ONE pressure monitors to solve disparities in its distribution system due to seasonal changes in population and water usage. Deployed in key areas throughout the network, the pressure monitors transmitted data into the utility SCADA system, resulting in better data and more informed decision-making for the utility. In addition to the PIPEMINDER-ONE, Galveston is installing flow measurement and water quality monitoring solutions from Badger Meter throughout its water system.

“We’re proud to enhance the scope of actionable data available to our utilities and industrial customers worldwide," Stuyvenberg noted.

Visit booth 1731 during Texas Water 2023 to learn how Badger Meter solutions can be tailored to address challenges related to water quality, distribution and analytical monitoring for any water utility, no matter its size or location.
