Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an extremely strong oxidizer widely used in the deep cleaning and decontamination of medical, education, leisure and care facilities to destabilize any molecule it can react with, including those that make up microorganisms.
Monitoring background levels of hydrogen peroxide in the workplace is not easy. We are one of the only gas sensor manufacturers in the world that can make an accurate sensor that can be used to protect staff. H2O2 is released into the air during the decontamination process (fogging) and needs to be monitored as part of Quality Controls Programs.
