Function & Operation
Function & Operation

Our Research Control Valves are engineered to manipulate the flow of fluids by opening, closing or partially obstructing various passageways in order to adjust for the load disturbance - allowing the regulated process variable to stay as close as possible to the desired set point.

Actuators - Pneumatic vs. Electric
Actuators - Pneumatic vs. Electric

Pneumatic actuators operate by converting air pressure into mechanical force to operate the valve, and are frequently used in both isolation (on/off) and in modulating control applications in chemical processing, food and beverage, and oil and gas facilities.

An electric actuator operates by using electrical energy to produce its chemical force with valves. Electric actuators work ideal with any ball valve or butterfly valve applications for oil and gas, water and wastewater, refineries, marine, and chemical plant environments.

Valve Positioners
Valve Positioners

Our Research Control Valve Postioners report actionable diagnostic information about valve performance and assist compliance with fugitive emissions regulations. Both SRD smart valve and SRI analog valve positioners are available, with easy upgrading from SRI to SRD.
