Sourcing Responsibly

Not only do our products enable more sustainable use of natural resources, the way we build products helps conserve resources. Every year Badger Meter uses recycled material to make our bronze metering products. Approximately 98.5% of the bronze housings used in production are made from recycled material. The primary smelter that recycles this source material run their operations with zero emissions and zero water discharge, contributing to the circular economy.

Milwaukee Facility in Focus

Our Milwaukee Facility Has Reduced Electricity Usage by 32% Since 1991

Through a combination of efforts including HVAC upgrades, LED lighting systems, power load monitoring and the installation of solar panels on the facility roof, we have reduced overall electricity usage by 32% since we began tracking in 1991. This results in both cost savings to the company and reduces our carbon footprint. We have also worked to “green” our cafeterias by eliminating single use plastic, and encourage electronic file management to reduce paper.

Product Quality ISO 90001 and SOC 2 Data Security

Using a regimented system of policies and procedures helps us maintain ISO 90001 certification for quality management, which in turn builds customer trust and confidence. Our software solutions adhere to strict quality and security standards. For example, BEACON Advanced Metering Analytics and AquaCUE Flow Measurement Manager software solutions, along with EyeOnWater customer engagement software, comply with Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) and reporting framework ISO 270001 for data security.
